ATV Unit
The department currently has two Kawasaki All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
Officers assigned to this unit have been trained in the proper use of the equipment.
Purpose:
This unit is activated for area's that regular vehicles are unable to patrol. It has been activated numerous times throughout the year to help in searching for missing persons, locating abandoned property, investigating and patrolling areas where noise and other disturbances are, and in traffic control for parades and other town functions.
ATV's are on call through NEMLEC (North East Municipal Law Enforcement Council) for search and rescue missions
