TOWN OF NORTH READING
The Town of North Reading has an Animal Control officer position available in the Police Department.
The position is part-time, 21 hours per week. The starting rate of pay is $12.84/hr. This position is immediately available.
The position duties include but not limited to: perform annual barn inspections, maintain the dog pound, respond to public complaints, write and issue violation citations, works with the humane societies, veterinarians and Board of Health.
Qualifications: Able to work days, nights and or weekends. Ability to obtain state mandated certifications and licensing. Able to traverse uneven terrain. Must be able to deal appropriately and effectively with the public. High School diploma and some experience in handling dogs or other animals. Must have a valid drivers license.
